On the weekly Stata coding sessions
"The coding sessions were really helpful. Having a guided walkthrough in class, then trying it independently, and later reviewing it together made the material stick. It also helped that the focus was on understanding the method and its purpose, not just the math, which made things clearer and less intimidating."
Overall impressions
"I would describe this course as challenging but very useful. The professor explained complex topics clearly and focused on helping us understand the methods rather than the math, which made everything feel more approachable."
"The strengths include the material being taught and the coding sessions. There are no weaknesses to taking this course, especially for quantitative researchers who use STATA."
"I think everyone in my program should take this course. It's essential to what we do. I think the instructor's mix of theoretical and practical was just right."
